You may want to install Security Cameras or CCTV for many reasons:

  • monitoring your home
  • deterring and preventing intrusion
  • to provide evidence if a crime is committed
  • deterring vandalism
  • peace of mind

We install sophisticated security systems:

  • cameras are connected via WiFi to minimise intrusive wiring
  • controlling software runs locally eliminating cloud storage costs and slow response time
  • advanced motion detection reduces false activation and removes the need for continuous recording
  • cameras can be viewed remotely using friendly app
  • optionally emails can be sent when motion is detected

Below is the motion detection set up panel, note the various features:

  • multiple specific detection areas
  • sensitivity and motion time can be set to greatly reduce false activation
  • maximum and minimum size of detected objects can be defined

In the picture above the red area shows a single detection area and the blue areas show the maximum and minimum object sizes that will be detected.

We use ONVIF compliant cameras, these are a readily available and inexpensive option providing a reliable interface to our security camera software.  The software runs under Windows and we recommend using a fanless laptop dedicated to running the server.  The client runs as a native app under Windows, iOS, Android and Linux.

Our experience delivering indoor and outdoor WiFi Solutions ensures cameras connect effectively to your network to provide consistent quality images.

The image below is an example that was captured and sent as an email notification.  Note that for privacy the face has been blurred using GIMP.  The app can be used to view a full video of the captured event.
